In terms of reaching our goals, it's important to understand the difference between subjective and objective goals. Many of us fall into the trap of setting subjective goals - like saying we want to lose weight without any specific measurement in mind. But if we really want to make progress, we need to set objective goals.
Let me break it down for you. Instead of just saying "I want to lose weight," try setting a specific target like losing 20 pounds." Now that's an objective goal! And the great thing about objective goals is that they can be measured. You'll know exactly how much progress you're making and whether you're on track or not.
So here's what you can do: start breaking down your goals into smaller, more specific tasks. For example, cut out 500 calories from your diet each day, aim for 150 minutes of cardio per week by walking 5 days a week, and spend 20 minutes lifting weights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
These are all actionable steps that will get you closer to your objective goal.
